1st Grade

Elizabeth Dascanio

Mrs. Dascanio

I grew up on 190 acres on the edge of small town Wendell, Idaho where we rode horses, raised beef cattle, and farmed 30 acres. I loved exploring our desert, fishing, and camping in the mountains.

I moved to east Idaho to attend BYU-I where I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Upon completing my student teaching here, at South Fork Elementary, I was hired for the following school year of ’11-’12 in first grade! I have been here ever since, and have loved every day!

My husband and I have two beautiful girls! In the year of 2016, we purchased our forever home in Menan! Behind our house, we also purchased a small 16 acre farm of alfalfa!  We are loving building our family here in the country side of good ole Idaho and bringing our children to South Fork Elementary where the teachers, parents, and students work together to help and better all students!

My favorite part of teaching is helping the children to learn beyond the curriculum. I love to help them learn the life skills of friendships, hard work, good choices, and a self-desire to learn and grow!

Mrs. Luthy

My name is Beverly Luthy. I have a wonderful husband (Brent), 5 children and 7 grandchildren with 1 more on the way. I love children and I love the Archer community where my husband and I have raised our family. I enjoy reading, traveling, building puzzles, baking, gardening, playing the piano, camping, and doing anything that involves my family. I graduated in December, 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from BYU-Idaho. After graduation, I did long-term substitute teaching for two 1 st grade teachers where I fell in love with 1st graders. This is my sixth year teaching at South Fork Elementary and I feel so privileged to be here! South Fork is an awesome school with incredible teachers and staff who are genuinely concerned about the well-being of all of the children in
the school.

tracy sherman 1st grade

Mrs. Sherman

I am a laid back, big city gal from California, transported by marriage to rural Idaho!  I have spent years missing the warmth and the beaches, but have grown to love the close-knit communities of Rexburg.  My husband, Cullin, and I have a son, Tanner, who currently runs our lives!

I graduated from the University of Utah (Go Utes!) in 2003 and have taught first through third grades since.  The best parts of my job are watching the students light up with understanding, feeling proud of their accomplishments, and maturing over time.
