I was born in New Jersey but moved to Florida when I was five. I met my husband while attending Penn State University. We graduated and moved west where I taught first grade at Sugar City and Fremont for seven years. After the birth of my second child, I opened up a preschool. While my children were small I was involved with the afterschool program at Madison School District teaching and also being a coordinator for the program. When my youngest child went into kindergarten, I went back to teaching first grade (the best grade ever). I have been teaching first grade at Hibbard for 9 years now and love it here! My husband is Mr. Gentile, the Assistant Principal at the junior high. We are a family that puts education at the highest priority. I am intense about creating interactive fun lesson plans - teaching is the very fabric of my being.
I have five children. My oldest is a computer engineer for the Navy in the Seattle area. I have two children attending Boise State this year, and two children at Madison Junior High. My husband and I are both 1⁄2 Italian. We love to travel. We spent time with our cousins this summer in Italy. History, art, beaches, food, family ... it doesn’t get any better than that!
