3rd Grade Teacher
I teach third grade now and have done for the past 4 years. Before third, I taught second for 3 years. I taught previously in Minnesota for 8 years. What brought me here? The Spirit. I have 5 children and 6 grandchildren in Minnesota, Utah, and Colorado. My husband had open heart surgery so this summer has been rather busy. He is recovering quite well so we are looking forward. I love quilting, crochet work, and assorted other activities. Of my five children, 2 are/or have been teachers, as well, so I guess it's hereditary.
3rd Grade Teacher
I grew up in Ammon, Idaho when it was really small and everyone knew everyone! I went to BYU-Provo and was majoring in Accounting before I left for a church mission to Washington DC. After my mission I changed my major to Elementary Education and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Teacher Education. I taught 3rd Grade at Heartland Elementary in West Jordan, Utah. I was sad to leave Heartland but my husband Bryce, our two little girls and I moved to Idaho so he could finish his doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. We then moved to Laketown, Utah (which is right next to Bear Lake) and added Addison, Clay, and Tyson to our family. I taught Preschool for a few years until we were off to another adventure here in Rexburg. We miss living in Laketown and running down to the beach everyday in the summer, but we have loved living here in Rexburg! We have now lived here for 7 years and have really enjoyed being back in Idaho. Our kids are growing up and all go to school at Madison. Kenna is a Senior, Brenley is a Junior, Addison is in 8th Grade, Clay is in 6th grade, and Tyson is in 3rd Grade. You might just see him in the hallway! We enjoy playing all kinds of sports, reading, and just spending time together.
Third Grade is the greatest!! We are going to have a fantastic year!
