I graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and started teaching in the fall of 2002. I earned a Master of Education in Literacy in 2012. I thoroughly enjoy working with the amazing students, supportive parents, and dedicated staff here at Burton Elementary.
My goal as an educator is to empower students with the knowledge and tools necessary to become life-long learners. I am passionate about learning, and it is fun to see students become interested and excited about what they are learning as well. I love seeing students feel successful as they experience the rewards of their hard work.
Aside from teaching, I love reading, and I’m always on the hunt for good books to share with my students. Some of my other hobbies include playing the piano, crafting, researching and reading about history, traveling, and spending time with family. I love living in the Upper Snake River Valley, and I appreciate our beautiful surroundings every day.
