I have taught fourth grade, third grade, and special education during my time at Burton. I love teaching and getting to know the students and parents here at Burton Elementary.

I grew up in Marietta, Georgia. I attended Ricks College, where I met and married my husband, Rich. I graduated from Brigham Young University – Idaho with of Bachelor of Science and from GCU with a Master in Special Education. Rich and I have four children, and now have 8 grand kids! In my spare time I love spending time with my family. We love to camp, play games, and just be together. I also love to read. Seldom do you see me without a good book to read.

I love working with students of all ages to help them learn and grow their ability to communicate. I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Disorders and a  Master’s of Science in Speech Language Pathology. I have worked in Early Intervention, Preschool, Elementary & Secondary, and Post Secondary settings in Utah, Arizona, and Idaho. I have also enjoyed time working in clinics and private practice. The youngest person I have worked with was 2 weeks old and the oldest was just over 100. The ability to communicate across one’s lifespan is an incredible gift.

I am blessed to have an amazing and supportive husband. My daughter and two sons are incredible people that continue to amaze me each day. I love spending time in the mountains and traveling with my family.

I look forward to working with the Rexburg community and the fabulous staff and students at Burton Elementary.
