Over the years, I have earned an Associate’s degree in English Literature and a Bachelor of Science in Education.
I come from a military family so I claim a little bit of everywhere in America, but most recently I lived and taught in Las Vegas. Growing up on the move, I gained a deep love of books because I could take them with me to my new environment. Now as a teacher, I strive to fill my classroom with every genre of literature, so that I may offer my students a chance to learn and explore different ideas, places, and people throughout history.
A few of my hobbies include playing the cello (which I love to bring into the classroom), singing opera, experimenting with scientific concepts, reading (I usually have a book in my purse at all times), and walking with my two puppies around the neighborhood. I also love to travel and experience more of the world. My favorite city to visit is Prague because the architecture makes me feel like I’ve traveled back in time.
